About this Masterclass

About this Summit

Start building your high performing team and push your company towards success!

Every company dreams of having a high performing team.

The benefits of this are overflowing, not only for the company, but also for the team members themselves.

If you've worked in, managed or even seen a high performing team, you already know that there is a certain buzz about it.

Employees are engaged, motivated, everyone is working together to achieve the same goal and they are able to act independently when solving problems. All of this makes it possible for companies to get amazing results.

But building a high performing team and maintaining it, is not as easy as we would want it to be. Which is why in this masterclass we are taking an interesting approach in doing so.

Paul David, former British Army Officer, will share with you how to use effective military principles in building teams that can work together, strive to achieve their goals and handle stressful situations together.

This session will cover:

What we will cover

Rally your team around a unifying purpose and shared goals
Empower team members by delegating freedom of action with mission command
Identify and foster leadership potential within your team

About the Expert

Paul David Mather

From Domino’s delivery, to British Army officer, to Head of Operations at tech startup Deliveroo where he enabled 500x growth in 5 years. Paul's managed people and operations from the frontline to the boardroom. Now his passion is advising startups on operations and strategy, coaching leaders and building teams.

Paul's expertise spans operations, strategy and project management. As his first job he led 50 soldiers on active operations in Afghanistan before promoting to a demanding programme management role. While transitioning out of the Army he co-founded a startup focused on home education.

Paul then joined Deliveroo as the 2nd employee in operations. He held several senior roles focused on building and scaling operational functions. The CEO and COO also tasked him with strategic projects, like courier insurance and electric vehicles. Within 5 years they’d expanded to 13 countries, becoming a tech unicorn worth over $2 billion.

Since going freelance, he is now an operations consultant for a range of startups: last mile delivery, on demand services, E-commerce, Marketplace, EVs, Micromobility, Cleantech, Healthtech, Edtech, Proptech, and more. He is also a non-executive director of two businesses. He supports founders by simplifying operations, coaching leaders and hiring talent.
