About this Masterclass
About this Summit
When we talk about team leadership we can think about the question "How should a good leader deal with their employees, what is the right way?"
Leadership and teamwork are linked, better results can be achieved if the members of a working group work together, so they can achieve individual and collective goals. So the best form of leadership would be one that promotes participation and sharing of opinions.
During this session of the Team Leadership Mentoring Sprint, we will look at:
- Demonstration of empathy as a key to effective leadership development and the three dimensions of empathy, which must coexist to act and communicate successfully.
- We will exemplify traits that every leader wants in his team.
- How to increase leadership and productivity within the organisation.

About the Expert
From Domino’s delivery, to British Army officer, to Head of Operations at tech startup Deliveroo where he enabled 500x growth in 5 years. Paul's managed people and operations from the frontline to the boardroom. Now his passion is advising startups on operations and strategy, coaching leaders and building teams.
Paul's expertise spans operations, strategy and project management. As his first job he led 50 soldiers on active operations in Afghanistan before promoting to a demanding programme management role. While transitioning out of the Army he co-founded a startup focused on home education.
Paul then joined Deliveroo as the 2nd employee in operations. He held several senior roles focused on building and scaling operational functions. The CEO and COO also tasked him with strategic projects, like courier insurance and electric vehicles. Within 5 years they’d expanded to 13 countries, becoming a tech unicorn worth over $2 billion.
Since going freelance, he is now an operations consultant for a range of startups: last mile delivery, on demand services, E-commerce, Marketplace, EVs, Micromobility, Cleantech, Healthtech, Edtech, Proptech, and more. He is also a non-executive director of two businesses. He supports founders by simplifying operations, coaching leaders and hiring talent.
