Companies are desperate for creativity, innovation and risk-takers, yet they can't take the risk of true diversity.
I've been super lucky to have many people open doors for me... but I continue to hear from talented people, and those who wish to work at well-known firms, various reasons for why they were shut out from them.
Many companies hire not just based on merit, but also having the right "culture 'fit'.
Which can often just mean they hire people that remind them of themselves.

This can mean you get a monoculture without diversity.
How do you expect to get diverse views, perspectives and representation when you reject people based on an ill-defined 'culture fit'?
