2 min read

Episode 37 of The SaaS Sales Performance Podcast** saw **Rebecca Drew **of Vidyard come on to the podcast to talk about the **key qualities she looks for in candidates.

For the full podcast, check out the episode here: https://open.spotify.com/show/6nL8xPggQzpriG4rDDOxZE?si=af6b27ca363443b7

In this episode, we cover...

  1. The importance of Curiosity, Coachability, Collaboration and Commitment.
  2. Why (and how) to use video messaging with your clients.
  3. The ways in which recruitment is essentially** “selling people”.**

Rebecca Drew currently works as EMEA Sales Leader at Vidyard, a company who are revolutionising the use of video in sales messaging. Previously at LinkedIn, Rebecca is a sales and recruitment expert.

Here are some of the key insights from the conversation.

  • Sales is about problem solving.

“It's about helping the clients because sometimes the client doesn't know they have a problem. And it's about asking them a series of really thoughtful questions that helps them come to that realisation that actually, this could really help me.

  • Video messaging offers more opportunities for further engagement.

“There's been studies done that see a 26% increase with open rates when videos are included, and another study where they looked at proposals that had video as part of the proposal. The close rates went up anywhere from 40% to 100%, depending on what the industry vertical was.”

  • Good sales people can often be found working in recruitment.

“Working in recruitment gives you sales skills. It enables you to build that resilience. You've got lots of different candidates, all with different needs and wants, and you're negotiating all the time.”

The best place to find Rebecca Drew is through LinkedIn.
