About the Expert
David Deacon has worked in organisations around the world, large and small, leading Human Resources, Talent Management, Leadership Development and Learning teams.
His experience working with leadership and management teams of all types led him to write The Self Determined Manager, which serves as a blueprint for what great managers –and ultimately great leaders – actually do.
The Self Determined Manager was published in 2018 and the training that supports the development of managers is now being rolled out.
David also runs The Talent Office, a talent management consulting firm offering strategic people solutions, leadership development and coaching.
He was previously the Head of Talent at Capita, MasterCard and Credit Suisse. His career highlights also include Deloitte and Paribas, and he has lived and worked in Asia, the USA (twice), and the UK.
